Madonna in Custom Sian Hoffman Corset at Kiko Milano New York Event
I recently had the pleasure of being commissioned to create a custom waspie for Madonna, worn in New York at a Kiko Milano event marking her appointment as global brand ambassador at Macy’s Herald Square.
The waspie was based on my Pearl Waspie for The Model Traitor, reworked in custom lilac silk with hand-dyed elastic to match the tone of the fabric. It is a short, belt-like corset constructed from structured boned panels and elasticated strapping, designed to cinch the waist while remaining comfortable and easy to layer over dresses.
Styled by master stylist Sadie Davies, the waspie was worn over a soft lilac silk slip dress and anchored the centre of the look. It was paired with crystal Gina heels, a Roberto Cavalli crocodile bag, a heart-shaped Chopard pendant and finished with a dramatic purple fur cape by Balmain.
The overall effect balanced the softness and gloss of silk and faux fur against the defined architecture of the corset.
The event itself took place at Macy’s Herald Square, with a DJ set by Honey Dijon with iconic scenes of Madonna dancing to a remix of her early hit Physical Attraction.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve been fortunate to receive a few commissions from Madonna's stylists. She previously wore a black leather Sian Hoffman corset for a Matador look in her 2015 Living for Love video.

Bespoke commissions are not always seen publicly, so it is especially meaningful when a piece appears at a high-profile event.
To dress an artist of Madonna’s stature- an icon who has consistently challenged conventions around performance, fashion, and femininity is a real privilege. I’m genuinely grateful to Madonna and her stylist for this commission.
